Part six of our prayer series

OUR SPIRITUAL HUNGER AND PRAYERS FOR REVIVAL PART 6

Lord You are; “...the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. “(Col 1:15NKJ) For by You; “... all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or [a]principalities or [b]powers. All things were created through...” (Col 1:16NKJ Footnotes[a] rulers [b] authorities)You and for You. And You are; “...before all things, and in...” (see Col 1:17NKJ) You; “...all things consist.” (see Col 1:17NKJ).

Lord You are; “... the head of the body, the church:,...” who are; “...the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things...” You might have the preeminence. (see Col. 1:18KJV).

For in You, Lord Jesus; “... dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”(Col. 2:9KJV) You are; “...the head of all principality and power:” (Col. 2:10KJV). We pray that You would take Your rightful place in our lives, in our region, in our land, in this world. We pray that You would raise up a righteous standard in our land, in this valley. Be Lord of all.

Lord You have already; “...disarmed principalities and powers, ...” (Col. 2:15NKJV)having; “...made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them...” (Col. 2:15NKJV). Help us, Your Church, to now walk in the victory of that and see Your kingdom roll forward.

We pray for a move of God in Your church and in our land. One where You are at the forefront. One where You get all the glory. One where You are “...all, and in all.” (Col. 3:11KJV).

You Lord Jesus have; “...abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:” (2 Tim. 1:10KJV). Keep shining Your light into our land, into this valley. Help us to walk in the victory that You have won. Help us to apply it. May Your light, life and immortality keep spreading to all men women and children. As Your gospel is shared. May Your gospel sound forth from us like a trumpet. (see 1 Thes 1:8).

Lord, we Your Church, need You in this hour. We are Your Church. May Your Spirit’s working be worked out in us. May our faith in Your word, Your truth, have a transforming effect upon us.

Lord we are Your Church and we need You. Will You direct our; “...hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.”(2 Thes 3:5NKJ) Will You fill us with the knowledge of Your; “...will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;” (Col. 1:9KJV) that we may walk worthy of You Lord, fully pleasing you; “...being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to... ” (Col. 1:10-11KJV) Your; “...glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;”

(Col. 1:11NKJ).

Lord will You do a work in Your Church that our hearts would be; “...knit together in love,...”? (Col. 2:2KJV) You have made us one body and You are the head. Cause us to be rooted and built up in You; “...and stablished in the faith,...” (Col. 2:7KJV).

Lord keep us from being cheated or tricked by philosophy empty deceit, perditions of men, principles of the world, religion, culture, psychology, and instead be rooted and grounded in You and in Your word. (see Col. 2:8).

We have been raised with You Jesus and now we; “...seek those things which are above, where...” (Col. 3:1KJV)You are; “...sitting at the right hand of God.” ( Col. 3:1NKJ). Lord reveal to us the things that are above.

Lord please do a work within us, Your Church , that we would; “...put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another,...” (Col. 3:12-13NKJ).

Help us to; “...put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”(Col. 3:14NKJ).

Lord we turn to You from idols to serve the living God and to wait for Your return. Thank You for delivering us from the wrath to come. (see 1Thess. 1:9-10). Help us to walk worthy of You who have called us into Your own kingdom and glory. (see 1 Thes 2:12NKJ).

Lord will You cause Your Church to; “...increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, ...” (1 Thes 3:12KJV). May our hearts be established blameless in holiness before You God, ready for Your return Jesus. (see 1 Thes 3:12NKJ). Lord You have made us sons and daughters of light. We take head to You call to watch and be sober. We pray for every brother and sister and for ourselves that we would not in any way be asleep but that we would be awake and sober, and wearing the; “...breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.”(1 Thes 5:8NKJ).

Thank You that You have not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation through You. (see 1 Thes 5:9).

Help us all to; “...hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.” (1Thess. 5:21-22NKJ).

We pray for your whole church that You would sanctify us completely, that for each of us, our whole spirit, soul and body would be preserved blameless at Your coming. (see 1 Thes 5:23).

Lord we are Your Church and we need Your word to take deep root within us. Will You cause Your word to flourish within us and to help us share it with others? We want Your word to dwell in us richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to You LORD. (See Col. 3:16 KJV)

Help us to; “Hold fast the pattern of sound words...” (2 Tim. 1:13NKJ) which You have taught us. Help us to rightly divide Your word. (see 2 Tim 2:15).

Lord I thank You for Your precious word that was given to me in childhood and which in time made me wise for salvation through faith in You Lord Jesus. (see 2 Tim. 3:15). Help us to use Your word properly; “...for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Tim 3:16KJV) that we; “...may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” (2Tim 3:17NKJ).

Help us to; “...Be ready in season and out of season. ...” to use Your word. (2 Tim.4:2NKJ). Lord through us may Your word run swiftly. (see 2Thess. 3:1).

Lord we have been entrusted with Your precious gospel. Help us to speak it not pleasing men but rather to please You; “...God who tests our hearts.” (1 Thes 2:4NKJ).

Lord may our sharing not be in word only but; “...in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance,...” (1Thess. 1:5NKJV).

Lord we know that You are faithful. We ask as it says in Your word that You would keep us from evil (see 2 Thes 3:3), and that You would establish us; “...in every good word and work.” (2Thess. 2:17KJV).

Help us Lord to exercise ourselves toward godliness. “ For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things...” ( 1 Tim 4:8NKJ). Help us to exercise ourselves in this way.

We pray for our pastors and leaders; “...who labor in the word and doctrine.” (1Tim. 5:17NKJ).

We thank You God that You have; “...not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7KJV). Dispel all fear, inspire courage. In Your church dispel fear and cause love and soundness of mind to flourish.

Help us all to; “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which...” (1 Tim 6:12 NKJ) we were called. (see 1 Tim. 6:12).

Help us and all of Your body to ; “...endure[a] hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.” (2Tim 2:3NKJ Footnote NU You must share)Help us to not be entangled with the affairs of this life for You have enlisted us as soldiers. (see 2 Tim. 2:4).

Thank You LORD that if we are faithless You remain faithful. (see 2Tim. 2:13). Help us to be faithful to You. Help us to ; “...pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”( 2Tim. 2:22NKJ). We do pursue. We do pursue.

Help us Lord in these perilous times to; “...be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist,...” fulfill our ministry and to be poured out as a drink offering before You. (see 2 Tim. 4:5-6NKJ). Strengthen us that the message might be preached fully through us. (see 2 Tim. 4:17). For Your glory Lord.
